How we will be supporting education in Africa

Helping schools to help their local communities

Education is so important. Think where we would be without it! Yet in many of the remoter, more rural communities in Africa, the monetary resources are simply not there to provide for the educational needs of those communities. Under-sourced and under-funded, schools are unable to provide the valuable equipment and facilities that pupils and teachers so dearly need.

This is leaving young people without access to the education that they require and deserve.

So what can we do to help?

We make education accessible
With the right funding, we can not only build schools from scratch, we can make sure those schools have the resources they require. We can reduce overcrowding, take some of the pressure away from teaching staff, ensure that sanitary supplies are plentiful, ensure pupils stay fed, and even improve relations between education authorities and the local community.
Some of the outcomes of our work include:
  • Improving the condition of school buildings
  • Improving facilities and amenities
  • Providing the basic resources teachers need
  • Providing school meals
  • Improving overall learning conditions
  • Reducing classroom overcrowding
  • Improving school-community relations
  • Increasing attendance
  • Creating jobs
  • Improving sanitary facilities
